I have been practicing yoga since I was 19, when I picked up my mother's copy of Richard Hittleman's Yoga: 28 Day Exercise Plan. Subsequently I began studying Iyengar Yoga; the practice's emphasis on alignment really spoke to me given my background in ballet. Over the years, I have studied with teachers who worked in Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Classical type yogas. My own practice has become a sort of hybrid, and my teaching follows a more classical approach to yoga.
I have been a student at the Yoga Life Institute Yoga Teacher Training program since January 2007, and after completing my 200hr teaching certification in 2008, I've continued in the 500hr certificate program.
I teach at the following locations in Philadelphia:
Tuesdays 6:30 - 7:30 AM at East Falls Fitness Yoga for Beginners
Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:45, 7:00-7:30 PM at The Sporting Club at the Bellevue
Yoga, and Meditation
and at Interim House, a residential and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program facility for women.
If you are interested in private yoga instruction for yourself or a group, email me.
