I have been practicing yoga since I was 19, when I picked up my mother's copy of Richard Hittleman's Yoga: 28 Day Exercise Plan. Subsequently I began studying Iyengar Yoga; the practice's emphasis on alignment really spoke to me given my background in ballet. Over the years, I have studied with teachers who worked in Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Classical type yogas. My own practice and way of teaching has become a sort of hybrid.
I have been a student at the Yoga Life Institute Yoga Teacher Training program since January 2007, and after completing my 200hr teaching certification, am continuing for a 500hr certification.
I am currently teaching a yoga for athletes class over at Yoga on the Ridge, a beautiful new studio in Philadelphia. I also teach a Vinyasa class at the Sporting Club at the Bellevue in Center City.
